At the station there was a stack of baggage trollies under a sign saying “Self Help Trollies”. Did they also provide pyschoanalysis? I wondered if, when you put your luggage on them, they said: “I’m more interested in how you are going to get your suitcase to move forward.”

You shoulda said, ‘So that’s what that smell is’. Or ‘ I thought I smelled gas’. Or better, perhaps more along the lines of positive thinking, ‘I’m making s’mores. Anyone got any marshmallows?’
Most of these are too ‘American’, I suspect.
