I was waiting for the bit where the airstrip was being menaced by Zombies, or after drawing straws the other passengers ate you in order to survive, or how the airstrip was a timewarp portal back to WWII and you got strafed by Nipponese Zeros. Or something. Anything, really. Instead you went for maturity, elegance and truth, and you should be ashamed of yourself. Nice writing, but I felt it lacked ambition.
