I was taking it all to seriously, and enjoying writing a lot less towards the end of the year, and it showed. In my time off I wrote something every two or three days, without necessarily intending it to be for here, and they turned out better because of the lack of pressure. I also went back to completely writing in long hand with pencil and pad, something I'd dropped away from occasionally in the last few months. A blank page in a pad is an invitation, but on a computer screen it's a taunt. For me at least, because I work on computers all day, so making that division was one which I realised served more purpose than the simple practicality I'd assumed. No way, Wendy.
