Sam - I did so not get fired! I've already been facebooked (v.) by future colleagues there, so I think the blogging cat is out of the bag anyway.

Scroobious - I really have no strategy, but I know what you're saying.

Thanks Jonners and Angry - I'm glad you liked that line.

Just funny, nothing more to say. Love the Norway line and of course the "bagels", "double entendres aside" and "get a lard on" triptych. Class.

From,
Jon "also not much of a catch" ners.

I know of at least one company (in IT industry) that found an applicant's blog by googling themselves (and finding the "today I interviewed at company X" post). Which they apparently do every day to keep an eye on The Market. Presumably BBC News would have more stuff to sift through, though.

So, you take your name off the Data of Meta and the top of the page, but leave it in post titles, which you then quote for added emphasis? Interesting strategy...

Yeah, Wendy, so selfish - Cliff got fired and you don't hear him going on about it.

I'm a catch. The word is just used by single people who think they shouldn't be to earn themselves a last shred of self-respect.

Also; I've googled new staff before. At the application stage. You don't usually find anything at all, waste of time probably, but you have to be sure.

Good point, Wendy. I didn't realise that swearing in the title makes it a sweary URL, so some people can not read this at work.

Sorry about the getting you fired thing. Jeez, tetchy.

I still haven't told anyone I work with about my blog because there's swearing on it. Granted, mostly from you - but even so.

Also, I'd like to thank you for including profanity in the title of your previous post. I just tried to comment on it, but got the big scary THIS IS RESTRICTED error which means I'll probably get fired for trying to visit inappropriate web sites.

Anyone got any work for someone who would just prefer to blog all day long? For food?

(the Norway thing is very funny)
