It's like a mildly grown-up version of the Wonder Years. Pob luc Cliff (that's Welsh, like, for good luck)...

I might like to mention that Cliff actually put in a full day on Friday - none of this last day shirking for Cliffster. A solid eight hours perched on top of the photocopier, making sure that each and every employee got their own, personal reminder of what will affectionately be known as The Jones Years.

Should we have a whip-round? I hate to think of the poor Cliffster being unemployed for ANY length of time. The man has children for the love of god.

I hope your last day at AOL. Did you get the customary round of applause on your way down the floor? I bet there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

And what Dan said.

Nice of them to write (and point out the blindlingly obvious).

The sentence beginning "Finally..." is good. It's like your dentist saying to you "I hope the excruciating pain and loss of feeling in your face won't put you off coming back for more excruciating pain and loss of feeling in the future."

All the best for your weekend of unemployment, Cliff :)
