I didn’t know. Did you?
I was doing some research for music for my Mexican party tomorrow when I found this. Proper post tomorrow or as we say in the news business: More follows later.
This ain't something else

What is it you didn’t know?
And, what, exactly, is a ‘Mexican Party’ , in your neck of the woods? Cuz, you know, I’m in Texas, and ah reckon it means a whole ‘nuther thing down here.

Cliff… go look up “Hocico” (translates as ugly as a dog’s snout!), particularly some of their older and instrumental stuff - about as Mexican as you can get. But, it may not entirely be “party” music. It might raise a chuckle with you and your guests though

How many Mexicans have to be in attendance for it to be considered a Mexican party?!

I’m feeling slightly sheepish now, because Ed writes from Texas, where Mexican parties involve rice and beans and whatnot. Len’s also in the states and Jonners is well travelled, but where I come from, a Mexican party is a pinata, a couple of fake silver revolvers and some dips.
OK?! Tough crowd. Now I’m going to drink myself some mo’ jitos.
I KNOW they are Cuban.

Anna and I did a whole course on how to make cocktails, including mojitos, but they were sort of towards the end of the programme so my memories are pleasantly hazy.

CLiff if you can find it, There’s a band called ‘Chingon’ ( Spanish for ‘Badass’) that has a cd out called ‘Mexican Spaghetti Western’ . It’s Robert Rodriguez ( the film director ), Randy Castillo and his brother ( I knew Randy years ago! Whoo! ), and several other talented musicians. And singing on one track is Salma Hyack. Very nice;)
I still don’t understand what it is you don’t know.
