Len, Twitter is a social network thing like MyFace or SpaceBook. Unlike those, it doesn’t focus on profiles or networks as much as plain old updates. So you can “follow” a friend, with their permission of course, and you will get updates about what they are doing, as and when they choose to update it (by either text or on the web) and when you check in to twitter.com to check. It’s a nice, fuzzy network which is instant without all the maintenance snobbery that goes along with having your own space online. Think of it like a global bulletin board with entries limited to two lines between you and your friends.

It’s quiet in here… almost too quiet.
So I’ll ask, what is twitter? Is it like MySpace or some of these other sites.
Oh, goodness. I’m always surprised when people don’t know what Twitter is.
Easy, VFB, some people have lives, you know.

I’m so uncool…. and this is only small example.
I think it’s less more cool than someone who CUT SHORT their definition of what Twitter is when asked to explain.
Leave a comment. Play nice. I will turn this blog around.
