Weekend Song – Buffalo Tom
November 22, 2008
Maybe I’m going downhill in a bathtub here but this Weekend Song features jangly guitars from the early 1990’s.
Yeah, well.
Bill Janovitz’s range isn’t great, but he trumps himself in this one from the great Red Letter Day album. It was either this or Tree House, which stands outs as great song.
Hold me down, cut me loose when night time falls and lifts away.

Buffalo Tom!
Excuse me, I have to go and burrow through my old cassettes RIGHT. THE FUCK. NOW.
Ah, jangly guitars. We have a lot to thank The Byrds for. Aye.
Red Letter day and not even an honorable mention for Sodajerk? Mr. Jones, how dare you, sir.
I know, I know. So many greats.
