I have to laugh at myself. No one else will. The following is a genuine email I just sent. See if you can spot the wanker.

Message:
Do you have another headphone two-way? We could run a second line out from the mixing desk into the webcam laptop’s mic input which could carry the audio feed directly into the video stream.
The genius machine has no off switch.

I don’t think I am capable of answering that, even if I wanted to.
I’m trying to follow the wires in my head, it’s like some sort of Crystal Maze challenge. Crap, I’m locked in.

running on the laptop is:
1. forums shoutbox
2. lounge (chat room)
3. MSN
4. twitter
5. spotify
6. skype
7. SFR e-mail
coming from the laptop i have:
1. skype mic
2. line out to mixer (for all the above)

also into mixer:
1. phone line
2. deck
3. mic

from mixer everything feeds into my SAM’s broadcast tool on the pc, where i also have my live 365 e-mail feed, 365 playlist analyzer, limewire (for downloading any requests i don’t already have), media player, music files, and the recording tool.
the humber bridge has less wires!
but it’s all part of the fun!
(and yes, i too have a headphone two-way!)
