I should have said that. Now my pun of walking off looking for singles should make sense.

I&#039;ve been caught out as well in the States and have had some strange looks going up to a booth and telling the guy: &quot;Return to Hoboken, please.&quot;

I think English people are just bad at buying tickets. My dad once went up to a guy at Grand Central Station and said simply: &quot;Philadelphia?&quot;
